Bud to Bloom Acupuncture

My passion is helping people find their way back to health holistically with the use of acupuncture and other aspects of the wider scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which include Moxibustion (a herb known as mugwort which has special heating properties), Gua Sha (a massage technique) and Cupping Therapy.
I received my education from one of the most renowned colleges in the UK for acupuncture training, The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. This degree course incorporates anatomy and biomedical sciences in addition to the depth and breadth of TCM theory and clinical skills needed to safely and accurately diagnose and treat health conditions from the perspective of Chinese Medicine.
Acupuncture can help with a wide range of health conditions, whether they are physical, emotional or mental in nature. The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) has compiled an A-Z list of conditions on their website that acupuncture is accepted as being able to address.
Although it may seem to be a strange concept that inserting needles into various points on the body can help to resolve health complaints, thankfully the advances in technology and modern science have been able to demystify acupuncture and we can now actually provide information regarding the underlying mechanisms that take place in the body during acupuncture. For more information about this the website Evidence Based Acupuncture is a great resource.
One of acupunctures greatest strengths is that it has the capacity to treat the whole person as well as their symptoms. TCM diagnosis and treatment are tailored to the individual rather than a one size fits all approach. Two unique individuals can share the same Western Medical diagnosis and yet their TCM diagnosis and treatment plan may be completely different for this reason - they are unique and will have different constitutions and different lifestyles and other contributing factors causing their health complaint.
I have a special interest in addressing women's health conditions including painful, absent or irregular periods, fertility issues, pregnancy conditions and birth preparation, post-partum conditions and last but not least a very neglected area of women's health, the transition through menopause. That being said I enjoy treating a wide range of conditions and assisting as many people as I can.
