Simply Nails

Is a basic foot care clinic designed for those patients who simply require nail cutting, nail thinning and rough skin reduced around the heels.  This service is valuable to patients who are struggling with basic nail cutting for various reasons; the inability to reach their feet due to age or sometimes younger patients with back or mobility problems, those whose eyesight is failing and they can no longer see to cut their toenails safely, or those who suffer with osteoarthritis who find it painful or difficult to hold nail scissors/ clippers to cut their toenails.

The clinic runs every other Thursday in our second treatment room with Mrs Alison Nunn a Podiatry Assistant with 20 years experience and knowledge.  The cost of this appointment is significantly less than an appointment with the podiatrist for the same treatment.

The Simply Nails service has become exceptionally popular with patients at the practice and forward booking for ongoing treatment by Mrs Nunn is essential.

Eligibility for this service follows an initial new patient assessment with the podiatrist .  We abide by the governance of The College of Podiatry who insist that patients who may be eligible to be placed in the care of a podiatry assistant must first undergo a full and thorough assessment by a podiatrist.  This ensures that the patient is suitable for basic footcare and annually the podiatrist must reassess the patient to determine their continued suitability based on their current health, medication and foot problems.
All of the treatments offered are delivered using sterile surgical instruments for each individual patient, in a clean and professional clinical setting to ensure the utmost level hygiene during your treatment.
